This Italian region now has Europe’s highest Tibetan bridge
It’s not for the faint-hearted
It is the first big municipality in Italy to offer this service for the benefit of its citizens
The Municipality of Genoa is the first large Italian municipality authorized to issue Spid. This is the nationally-valid public digital identity system that allows access to the online services of the Italian public administration.
Every citizen can obtain Spid directly when he goes to the municipal counters to request a service. There are already numerous requests for appointments to obtain Spid at the registry offices and hundreds of digital identities have already been issued, informed the Municipality of Genoa.
The Ligurian city was the first in Italy to take advantage of this possibility. The fact, however, is that by 28 February 2021, all Italian municipalities will have to issue their services exclusively using Spid and CIE, the electronic identity card.
In Genoa, many services have already "migrated" on Spid, such as the ability to view the personal data of your family unit, sign up for school catering, view the attendance in the canteen and the menus of your children, pay for the school canteen, consult the data of your means of transport, check the stamp duty-insurance-revision deadlines, consult and pay your reports etc.
The decision to immediately join this new feature showed that the Municipal authorities have the innate desire to offer new interactive services and not to leave anyone behind. Further information on the new service activated by the Municipality of Genoa can be found on the website of the Agency for digital Italy.
What are the reasons for that and are there any possible solutions for that problem?
