The topic of this year’s edition is “Cycling for the ages”
Registrations are now open for this year’s edition of the Velo-City conference on the topic of “Cycling for the Ages”. The 2019’s international cycling conference will take place in Dublin between 25th and 28th of June 2019. The event is claimed to be the world’s biggest conference in the sphere of cycling, infrastructure, innovations, safety and social and cultural changes, driven by biking on a global scale.
The cycling summit is organized by the European Cyclists’ Federation and is also oriented towards those working in the fields of technology, health, behavioural change, urban and infrastructure policies, mobility and transport in general. The traditional event is held in European cities every other year, the first edition having taken place close to four decades ago – back in 1980 in Bremen. In the alternative years the event moves away from Europe, hosted by other continents.
The event venue for 2019 is the Convention Centre Dublin, Ireland on the banks of River Liffey, where key coastal, river and canal bike routes converge, the main historical, cultural and social amenities in the city centre being within 10 minutes of reach.
