Hotel in Dublin is powered by an underground river

The value of the unusual project is 40 million euros

Iveagh Garden Hotel was recently opened in Dublin, has 152 rooms and all the energy needed to provide the activities in it comes from an underground river. Swan runs 50 meters below the building.

The owners of the hotel have created a local hydroelectric plant with several small turbines. In this way they are providing heating, air conditioning and light. The value of the unusual project, including the creation of the interior is 40 million euros. The hotel is situated in a historic four-storey building in the Irish capital. Night rates are between 159 and 299 euros.
