Armado con una pantalla de presentación y un micrófono, el Alcalde Hidalgo habló frente a una asamblea de sus conciudadanos sobre los proyectos que modernizarán el distrito de Tamaraceite-San Lorenzo-Tenoya en un eje potencial para el desarrollo de la capital de Gran Canaria.
Uno de los puntos que se discutieron fue la construcción planificada de edificios residenciales en Tamaraceite Sur y Cruz del Ovejero. Estos se completarán como parte de un pacto firmado entre el Ayuntamiento y el Gobierno de Canarias.
Otra iniciativa que se anunció fue la renovación del histórico Mercado Agrícola de San Lorenzo, que verá mejoramiento, tanto en el aspecto visual de sus instalaciones como en la oferta de sus servicios.
El alcalde también quiso recordar y asegurar a los habitantes que el Corredor Verde, que corre a lo largo de la carretera de Tamaraceite, continuará expandiéndose según lo planeado de la tercera fase. Este espacio de 5000 metros cuadrados, que incluye áreas verdes e instalaciones deportivas, ya está rejuveneciendo la zona.
Continuando hasta la noche, la reunión era organizada de manera que proporcionaba comentarios y debates directos entre el líder de la ciudad y los residentes. Los vecinos de San Lorenzo expresaron varias inquietudes y propuestas, que trataron principalmente los temas de movilidad y conectividad entre los distritos de Las Palmas.
