LiteratureXchange is a new international literature festival in Aarhus spanning 10 days from the 14th to the 24th of June 2018. The program will consist of around 100 events with everything from literature at the waterfront to literary dinners, in addition to traditional readings and debates. The festival will be present throughout Aarhus with open-air events, in theatres, cafés and several other cultural institutions.
The festival, arranged by Aarhus Municipality Libraries, Literature Centre Aarhus and adult education institute Folkeuniversitet Aarhus, is the culmination of several years’ work by organisers to bring an international literature event to Denmark’s second city. So now-a-days LiteratureXchange presents Danish as well as international authors, talks between researchers and authors about international topics and different offbeat activities making the entire city buzz with literature. One of the aims of the festival is to bring the city together through the international context.
