La France étend le confinement à l'ensemble du pays à partir du 3 avril, а annoncé le Président Emmanuel Macron dans une allocution officielle mercredi soir. Les restrictions qui étaient valables pour 19 départements seront désormais appliquées à l'ensemble du territoire métropolitain pour une période de quatre semaines.
Un an après le début de la pandémie de coronavirus en France, le Président est revenu vers le people francais avec un autre discours officiel. Cette fois, cependant, en plus d'une nouvelle vague de restrictions, il y a eu une annonce positive : d'ici la fin de l'été, toute la population française de plus de 18 ans pourrait être vaccinée.
À partir du 16 avril, la possibilité sera ouverte à toutes les personnes de plus de 60 ans. Dès le 5 mai, toute personne de plus de 50 ans pourra se faire vacciner, tandis qu'à partir de la mi-juin, cette possibilité sera offerte à toute personne de plus de 18 ans.

À compter du samedi 3 avril, les mesures restrictives suivantes s'appliqueront à la France métropolitaine :
En outre, pour aider le système de santé à faire face à la tension accrue, le pays déploiera du personnel supplémentaire dans les hôpitaux : étudiants en médecine, retraités, Service de santé des armées, volontaires de la réserve sanitaire. Le nombre de lits d'hôpitaux sera également considérablement augmenté.
Enfin, à partir de ce mois, il y aura une ouverture graduelle des écoles. La rentrée aura lieu pour tous le 26 avril, physiquement pour les maternelles et les primaires, à distance pour les collèges et lycées - qui réouvriront le 3 mai.
