Les transporteurs opérant dans le secteur des livraisons partout dans le monde se trouvent devant un problème récurrent. Après avoir livré les marchandises ils doivent faire des trajets inutiles afin de ramener les palettes utilisés à l’expéditeur. Cela est lié à plusieurs inconvenances : augmentation de la distance pour les camionnes, donc - un coût augmenté, du temps perdu, plus d’émissions de CO2 et par ailleurs – un effet négatif pour l’environnement, ce qui peuvent facilement être évité maintenant.
Grâce à une nouvelle solution digitale, inventé par le start-up de Pierre-Edouard Robert, 34 ans cela peut rester dans le passé. MagicPallet offre une plateforme d’échange de palettes Europe, qui opère en ligne avec une localisation en temps réel. La solution se montre donc très écologique et économique, puisqu’elle permet d’optimiser les stocks : au lieu de transporter les mêmes palettes au point de départ, les transporteurs peuvent localiser celles qui sont disponibles autour d’eux, échanger ou vendre à l’endroit en communiquant facilement avec leurs collègues.
MagicPallet est lancé en début décembre 2018 et connait déjà un succès parmi les entreprises, surtout les PME. La solution concerne 38 000 compagnies françaises dans le secteur de transport et le surcout potentiellement évité est donc estimé à 100 millions d’euros. Quant aux émissions de dioxyde de carbone, elles sont estimées à 900 000 tonnes par ans et cette quantité pourra être considérablement diminuée.
