Le premier endroit nettoyé faisant partie de l’initiative, c’est le Golden Bay, qui a reçu le White flag, garantissant que les plongeurs de l’organisation ont nettoyé les eaux et que les autorités sont responsables à maintenir cet état. José Herrera a reçu officiellement le Certificat de zone maritime certifiée.
Le début de l’initiative a été honoré par la présidente Maltaise – Madame Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca. Elle a nominée à son tour le président Portugais Marcelo Rebelo à suivre l’exemple du ministre écologique.
