Das Oktoberfest 2019 beginnt am 21. September und geht bis zum 6. Oktober. Mit Spaß, Spiel und Alkohol läuft die Party, solange sich keiner verletzt – meint die Münchner Stadtverwaltung, die während der weltberühmten Veranstaltung elektronische Motorroller auf dem Festgelände verboten hat. Das Gedränge von tausenden Menschen, die in der bayerischen Landeshauptstadt anreisen, um an der bekanntesten deutschen Tradition mit dabei zu sein, hat die lokalen Leitungsorgane alarmiert, die Elektroroller als ein ernstes Risiko sehen.
"Für viele sind die Elektroroller ein Spielzeug und manche fahren leider oft betrunken", sagte Stadtverwalter Thomas Böhle. Nicht nur das Fahren von Elektrorollern wird verboten, auch werden die Fahrzeuge komplett vom Festivalgelände entfernt. Sogar geparkte Roller können für stark berauschte Oktoberfestgäste eine große Herausforderung darstellen. Um Verletzungen vorzubeugen, wird die örtliche Verwaltung mit der örtlichen Polizei und den Vermietern zusammenarbeiten, um alle Fahrzeuge vom Festivalgelände fern zu halten. Das Verbot gilt zwischen 17:00 Uhr und 6:00 Uhr, und die neuen Regeln werden auch auf die umliegenden Stadtteile erweitert.
Die Verkehrsregeln für die Elektroroller haben sich für Stadtverwaltungen in ganz Europa als äußerst komplex erwiesen, da sich die neuen Fahrzeuge auf den Straßen des Kontinents tummeln. Dessen Verbot auf dem Oktoberfest ist nur der jüngste Versuch der Stadtbehörden, wirksam an das Thema heranzugehen.
