El viernes 15 de enero tuvo lugar la inauguración oficial de la primera exposición permanente en el Museo de Arte Moderno de la Región de Murcia (MURAM) en Cartagena convirtiéndose de esta manera en el único espacio dedicado a este tipo de arte allí. La colección incluye 70 obras que incluyen pinturas, esculturas, dibujos, fotografías y videos.
Los visitantes y aficionados al arte pueden ahora deleitarse con las obras maestras originales de luminarias como Salvador Dalí, Pedro Flores, Ramón Gaya, Tàpies, Molina Sánchez y muchos otros. Todos los artistas expuestos fueron fundamentales para el surgimiento del arte moderno español durante el siglo XX y principios del XXI como una fuerza a tener en cuenta y admirar a escala mundial.
“Los visitantes del MURAM podrán completar un itinerario que abarca más de un siglo de arte español y regional a través de las más significativas tendencias de la modernidad, en un periodo de una enorme actividad cultural caracterizado por el empuje de la vanguardia, la investigación en técnicas y materiales y la diversidad de tendencias y temáticas, combinando el deseo de renovación y el respecto a la tradición”, ha dicho Esperanza Moreno, consejera de Educación y Cultura.
El modernismo en el arte, por supuesto, no representa un estilo único, pero es el término general para una variedad de géneros que surgieron durante los últimos cien años. Algunos de estos son realismo, abstracto, cubista, entre otros.
Las obras brindan a los espectadores una buena visión general del desarrollo del modernismo en el arte español con muchas piezas icónicas en exhibición. La colección en sí fue parcialmente adquirida del Fondo de Arte de la Comunidad.
