The new service will allow citizens of the Austrian capital to easily visit Piešťany for a relaxing weekend
As an example of true European spirit, a direct bus connection between Vienna and the Slovak spa town Piešťany was recently established and will start operating on 5 September. The Piešťany spa express will operate until 31 October and will commute two days per week, making the journey between the Austrian capital and the resort town on Thursdays and Sundays. The bus’s journey begins in Piešťany at 9:30 and will reach Vienna at 12:15. It will then depart from Hauptbahnhof Südtiroler Platz at 13:30 and make its return to Slovakia, arriving at the hotel’s doorstep at 15:45.
The service is launched by Spa Piešťany, but the creators are more than eager to start cooperating with other facilities in Slovakia’s most popular and most well-known spa town. A one-way ticket costs 19,90 euros and if there is sufficient space in the bus’s luggage department, passengers might be able to fit in their bikes.
The operators want to remind everyone that the service is not just for those who will be staying at the hotel, rather it’s for everyone who wants a fast and convenient way to get to the spa town.
