Hoy, 14 de febrero, la Consejería de Cultura de la región de Castilla-La Mancha informó que pondrá en marcha un nuevo club de lectura virtual. En este caso, estará dedicado exclusivamente a la literatura de viajes y llevará el nombre de "Ítaca" en honor a la isla natal de Ulises y en alusión al peligroso y aventurero viaje que el héroe griego antiguo tuvo que soportar para regresar allí.
El nuevo club comenzará a funcionar formalmente el 1 de marzo, pero a partir de mañana los lectores interesados ya pueden inscribirse. Se anunció que el primer libro que se discutirá será Canta Irlanda del autor español Javier Pérez Reverte.
La lectura siempre ha sido una actividad cultural importante que tiene muchas dimensiones e implicaciones. Esto es cierto en cualquier momento y durante la pandemia actual este hecho ha adquirido proporciones y significados aún más significativos.
Las autoridades de Castilla-La Mancha reconocen ese beneficio y también son conscientes de que la literatura de ficción se compone de muchos géneros y, por tanto, atrae a diferentes públicos. Es por eso que los clubes virtuales de lectura son una iniciativa exitosa que ya se inició en 2017 como medio para promover la lectura y atraer a la mayor cantidad de grupos de interés a esta actividad.
Desde entonces, casi 3000 participantes se han unido a estos clubes y se han leído y discutido más de 100 títulos. Los otros cuatro clubes están dedicados a la literatura clásica, la literatura juvenil, la poesía y las escritoras.
En cuanto a ‘Ithaca’, será coordinado por María Antonia Moreno Mulas, quien es bibliotecaria, gestora cultural y docente con amplia experiencia en el ejercicio de este rol en clubes de lectura en diferentes instituciones de prestigio desde 2004.
Lo mejor es que las personas no tienen que estar registradas como usuarios de la biblioteca para unirse a los clubes virtuales de lectura. Todo lo que tienen que hacer es registrarse online en clubesdelectura.castillalamancha.es/ .
