On the occasion of the opening of the parking lot, the Mayor of Nicosia, Konstantinos Giorkatzis, stated that this is another important day for the city and its citizens. "After the completion of the 1st phase of the renovation of the shopping triangle, which concerns Stasikratous Street and the surrounding streets, the delivery to the traffic of Kyriakou Matsi and Kallipoleos avenues, the parking lot of Homer is open to the public and will significantly facilitate access to center of the capital. From the parking lot, visitors will be able to easily go to the City Within the Walls, crossing the Trench, under the bridge of the Square ".
Nicosia, continued Mr. Giorkatzis is changing. "The heart of the capital is gaining momentum, the neighbourhoods are being upgraded. I wish everyone a happy new year and I call on the people of Nicosia to live in our city.”
