Amsterdam bans creation of new hotels
Another piece in the overall strategy to reduce tourist flows to the city
Throughout the city there are almost 500 thousands trees and plants
12,500 new trees will be planted in Milan by March 2018, a number that is "in line" with the new born (10,700 children at the end of October). The Municipality of Milan announced it on the occasion of the first census of the entire public arboreal heritage that spans more than 241,000 trees and 221,000 plants in the wooded areas (Bosco in Città, Parco delle Cave, Parco Ticinello and Parco Nord).
For 2018, the completion of two new parks and the creation of a new green area will be planned. The green zone will be in the Hadrian district and will be 50,000 square meters, while the parks that will be completed will be City Life (170,000 square meters) and the Libreria degli Alberi di Porta Nuova - 96,000 square meters.
One of the next steps will be a further incentive for the creation of "green roofs", which will be added to the Government's 2018 Budget. In the city, 970,000 square meters of roofs are already green, at least in part: a figure that could improve the energy performance of buildings.
