The Romanian municipality is in the process of implementing a number of infrastructure and transport projects
Over 12 million euros will be invested from non-reimbursable funds in the modernization of some main arteries in the Romanian Municipality of Piatra Neamţ, announced the mayor Dragos Chitic on his Facebook. There are new investment plans whose funding contracts have already been signed and are now being implemented.

Works will start in the spring of next year. The investment benefits of 98% are coming from European non-reimbursable financing, and the contribution of the Pietreni municipality is only 2%. The maximum deadline is 2022.
The modernization of public passenger transport in Piatra-Neamț will be achieved through an integrated vision via several complementary projects. They include the acquisition of 41 electric buses, construction of electric charging stations, modernization of waiting stations, modernization of the bus base and road infrastructure.
Pietreni municipality is the main partner in the two projects that include the acquisition of 41 electric buses while the County Council is the applicant, being the owner of the public transport company, Troleibuzul SA.
All investments regarding the modernization of public transport in Piatra Neamț will be made from non-reimbursable European funds, with the financing contracts having already been signed. The final deadline for completion is sometime in 2022.
