Le quattro città europee fanno parte del progetto “EqualCity”
Oggi, 28 febbraio 2020, nella capitale italiana si presenta il progetto europeo “EqualCity” contro la violenza sessuale e di genere (SGBV) sui minori stranieri non accompagnati (MSNA), ha informato il comune di Roma.
I seguenti città dell’Unione Europea, insieme a quattro organizzazioni partner e con il supporto di un gruppo di esperti devono sviluppare le tematiche SGBV in quattro diversi aspetti:
“EqualCity” intende migliorare l’offerta dei servizi forniti dai comuni rivolti alle vittime di violenza sessuale e di genere. L'obiettivo finale è quello di raggiungere le comunità dei migranti e di sviluppare la capacità di identificazione, presa in carico, protezione e superamento del trauma delle vittime di SGBV all’interno delle comunità di appartenenza.
Il progetto internazionale si rivolge alle città dell’UE e alle rispettive comunità di migranti, inclusi rifugiati e richiedenti protezione internazionale, sia giunti di recente che appartenenti a seconde o terze generazioni. “EqualCity” mira anche di rafforzare le competenze dei migranti attraverso una migliorata consapevolezza delle tematiche SGBV e dei loro diritti.
La presentazione del progetto a Roma segue il avvio del progetto gia tenuto a Bruxelles il 13 gennaio, alla presenza di tutti i partner. La durata del progetto e due anni e deve finire a novembre 2021. “EqualCity” è finanziato dalla Commissione Europea.
