La web municipal de Donostia-San Sebastián informó al público que a partir de mañana 1 de septiembre hasta el 13 de septiembre las murallas del Pasadizo de Egia (pasaje que conduce a la estación de tren de la ciudad) se convertirán en una exposición de arte con los retratos en stencil de 12 mujeres consideradas haberse convertido en iconos del feminismo. Esto se llevará a cabo en colaboración con el Centro Juvenil Kontadores de la ciudad vasca.
La exposición estaba destinada a conmemorar el 8 de marzo, o el Día Internacional de la Mujer, a principios de este año, pero un error administrativo hizo que los retratos fueran borrados por los servicios de limpieza de calles de la ciudad. Esta vez se espera que todas las confusiones se hayan resuelto debidamente y el proyecto se pueda desvelar sin problemas.
“Es un trabajo desarrollado por los jóvenes que participan en Kontadores en el laboratorio de stencil y que han centrado su proyecto en 12 mujeres icónicas para la lucha feminista”, ha dicho Duñike Agirrezabalaga, la concejala de Mujer e Igualdad de la ciudad.
Ella agregó que “entre las mujeres que los jóvenes de Kontadores han querido recordar se encuentran nombres como la guatemalteca y Premio Nobel de la Paz, Rigoberta Menchú, la pakistaní y también Premio Nobel de la Paz, Malala Yousafzai, la keniana Wangari Maathai, igualemente Premio Nobel de la Paz, la astronauta americana Christina Koch o la intérprete de pandereta, la vasca Maurizia Aldeiturriaga. Todas ellas, las doce que estarán en el pasadizo de Egia se han destacado por sus aportaciones a la causa feminista”.
Las pinturas de ‘stencil’ son bien conocidas entre los conocedores del arte callejero. Éstos se crean aplicando una pintura en aerosol a una forma de recorte previamente preparada que le da una cierta estética urbana a la creación.
