Following the 1st high-level roundtable yesterday, 30 March, between the NEB community ambassadors and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, there is now more news on the upcoming conference that will take place on 22-23 April.
The virtual roundtable was also attended by Commissioners Mariya Gabriel and Elisa Ferreira, who congratulated participants for the productive and inspiring talks revolving around innovation and sustainability.
Organizers have already stated that the Conference will be held online in English, with live interpreting in other languages available.
The provisional programme has already been published and it is notable for the inclusion of high-level speakers.
The first day (with events running between 2 pm and 6 pm) will be dedicated to discussions and panel debates featuring Commissioners Gabriel and Ferreira, as well as many of the community ambassadors that have been selected to represent and promote the ideas and values of the NEB. This will be your chance to see them live and hear what their particular visions and ideas are.
The second day of the Conference (running from 12:50 pm to 6:00 pm) will take a different, and more practical direction, with the implementation of 4 Co-creation workshops, which will be dedicated to different aspects of the initiative. For example, finding new connections between human architecture and the natural environment, or the needs and competencies needed to reinforce a global sustainability movement.
The day will conclude with a harvesting of the ideas generated during the workshops, the announcement of the Bauhaus Prize and one last panel discussion on transformative ideas.
It is free to register and attend so if you are itching to follow the latest on that important conversation regarding the sustainable future of the European Union then you best sign up as soon as possible.
