The two parties have signed an agreement for their future relations in the field
The European Investment Bank (EIB) and the Slovak Investment Holding (SIH) have signed an agreement that will create ample conditions for the development of energy efficiency solutions across Slovakia. The treaty signed by the two parties is funded by the European Investment Advisory Hub as part of the EIB’s “Delivery of local investment advisory services by National Promotional Banks (NPBs)” call for proposals.
The support that will be provided to the Slovak Investment Holding will allow it to enhance and bolster its capabilities in supporting public projects across the country that create energy efficiency solutions and thus help it along the way towards achieving its climate targets.
Thanks to the funding, SIH will be able to hire additional personnel and will be able to seek out additional experts that will play a key role in Slovakia’s energy transition. Furthermore, this new agreement is another key pillar of the already established cooperation between SIH and the EIB, with the bank already providing substantial assistance in the field of energy efficiency and smart city solutions.
“Environmentally sustainable investment projects are the only way to help us build a low carbon economy based on low carbon building stock. This Funding Agreement in collaboration with the Advisory Hub is the first step for us - as this project will help us deliver high-quality technical assistance to our municipalities and other public entities. It will essentially help us to establish a prosperous market for EPC projects in Slovakia.” – stated Ivan Lesay, the CEO of SIH during the official signing ceremony.
