Speakers of other languages can now understand the road signs in Sweden

The signs will be deployed in the beginning of December

The initiative includes more pictures than text so that the signs could be understandable for non-Swedish speakers. Authorities have confirmed that signs and pictures are way easier to understand than text, report from TheLocal.

Several new signs will be introduced. One will alarm for an accident ahead, another for a 24-hour service and a third for campers parking.

The UN strongly advises countries to implement road signs with pictures so that foreign visitors comprehend the meaning as well as natives.
