The platform will allow citizens to take advantage of quick and easy two-way communication between themselves and local authorities
The contract for the project of creating a Split Smart City platform that will represent the digital transformation of city services and enable citizens quick and easy two-way communication with city services via mobile and web application was signed earlier last week by Mayor Andro Krstulović Opara and Vice President for Corporate Sales and ICT Services in Croatia Telekom Marijana Bačić.
Through the new smart digital system, citizens will have access to all kinds of useful data in one place: insight into the agreed services that citizens or companies have with city companies, information on bills, debts and the ability to pay bills, report problems and complaints, kindergarten registration, information about events, as well as submitting requests and receiving documents issued by the City of Split. The system will also be able to integrate with other systems already in use in the city such as the Split Parking app and NextBike.
"We are creating a unique digital platform that will be the basis for further modernization and digitalization of city services. The new city GIS that we presented about 20 days ago, the introduction of e-ticketing system in Promet's buses, Smart SplitParking, are big steps we have already made in the area of Smart City, and now we are moving into a new digital step that will be even more accessible to our citizens. more help.
Through better and more transparent communication, simplicity and efficiency, we are once again aiming for what is most important to us - the satisfaction of the people who live in Split," said the Mayor of Split Andro Krstulović Opara.
The Split Smart City project will last for three years and is divided into three phases in which Hrvatski Telekom will provide the Cloud infrastructure, and Combis the development and delivery of the application solution. The value of the contract is 3.5 million kuna, and the application should be available to citizens by the end of the year.
