Game-like road accidental situations are played during trainings to improve safety of students
This Friday, March 15 Plaza de Santiago de Gáldar (Galicia, Spain) in collaboration with the Department of Education of the Galician municipality directed by María Rosa Quintana will host different road education activities dedicated to schoolchildren in the municipality with the aim of raising awareness among students, families and teachers of the importance of road safety.
The programme of this special educational event includes various activities through which it will be shown how to avoid emergency situations or how to react in the case of involvement in such. With advice and reminder of standards, it will be stressed out how important it is to behave in a moderate way especially in areas where pedestrians and vehicles coexist.
"Road safety is a pending issue. Therefore, if we begin to raise awareness of adolescents before they obtain a driver's license, I am sure that in several years, standards and good coexistence will be achieved between future drivers and users of the road," she said.
The beneficiaries of this project are students beyond 12 years of age, teachers and family members of students of the AMPA, as well as the public in general. In terms of practical resources, there will be simulators of overturning, simulation glasses which demonstrate blurred vision under the effects of alcohol and drugs, as well as exercises before the wheel.
