Keeping up with its decades-long tradition, the fair is attended by hundreds of specialists and experts in different fields, ready to show off their work.
The annual Rhineland-Palatinate fair is currently underway and it’s the biggest one yet! Over 700 exhibitors are currently attending and are eager to show off their crafts, innovations and strengths in areas like fashion, energy, construction etc.
On a visit to the fair, Rhineland-Palatinate Minister President Malu Dreyer emphasized the fair has a role in raising awareness for sustainable development. She reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the region’s economic prosperity by preserving natural livelihoods and enforcing citizens’ social security. While touring the fair the Minster President visited its newest addition, the “You and your garden” area, where she commented on the important role that sustainable and ecologically responsible agriculture plays in the region’s economy. In order to achieve its green goals, the Rhineland-Palatinate regional government boasts an innovative online system that helps farmers and gardeners get all necessary information and advice for their work and crops.
The Minster President also underlined the fair’s important role in the region’s blossoming and expanding tourism industry – a role which is specifically underlined in the Rhineland-Palatinate 2025 Tourism strategy.
If you’re interested in visiting the fair and experiencing its wide variety of activities and shopping opportunities, you have until the end of the week to head to Mainz. The fair packs up on 14 April and is expected to host more than 70,000 guests.
