All proceedings will go to three local charities

The annual charity ball hosted by the Lord Mayor of Dublin returns for another edition. In 2020 it will be Cllr Paul Mc Auliffe, 350th Lord Mayor of the Irish capital, who will be welcoming guests.

One of the most highly anticipated official events in Dublin is to take place on Saturday 25th January 2020 at 7pm in the historic Round Room of the Mansion House, located on Dawson Street, Dublin 2. Fine food, music and interesting encounters are only part of the activities to look forward to.

In order to get access to the event, one has to secure themselves an entry ticket for the ball, with a prize of 125 euros each. They can be purchased either from the Office of Lord Mayor or at the website of Dublin City Council.

The Mansion House turns into a ballroom

Sponsored by the Conference & Events Venue, this year the Ball will be raising funds for three worthy charities. Debra Ireland, Dyspraxia DCD Ireland and Hugh’s House will benefit from the proceeds of the Ball.

On this occasion, Councillor Paul Mc Auliffe said that he was very happy to be hosting the Charity Ball and the opportunity to raise awareness and funds for three amazing charities. “These charities all do such important work for citizens of Dublin and I have met with them all and seen first-hand the work they do. Because of the partnership of my office with Padraic O'Kane of the Conference & Events Venue and FIRE Restaurant every cent raised goes directly to these brilliant charities.”, the Lord Mayor continued.

The Mansion House, the event venue, is actually the official residence of the Lord Mayor of Dublin, the first citizen of the capital. Since 1715 the beautiful building has seen plenty historical events, including the formation of the Irish state and the signing of the Anglo-Irish Treaty.
