On 22 June in Thessaloniki will take place the first European Youth Friendly Conference. A gathering in the historic Greek city connecting municipality representatives, youth and urban development experts from Greece and from all around Europe, key people and coordinators involved in European Youth Capital programmes throughout Europe and youth workers actively involved in developing youth friendly ecosystems all around Europe. The project takes place in the framework of the Com'On Europe (European Platform for Participatory Budgeting for Youth) strategic project funded by Erasmus+.

The event takes place in the framework of the celebration of the first 10 years of the existence of the European Youth Capital, a milestone which enables analysis and reflection on past results but also on future perspectives for title. It also combines several ongoing efforts regarding the development of dedicated participatory budgeting mechanisms for youth, urban level thematic programmes and specific urban consultation mechanisms for young people.
