Vendredi 1er février 2019, la cité des sacres sera une nouvelle fois au cœur de l’action pour le départ du célèbre rallye automobile Monte-Carlo aux côtés d’autres grandes métropoles européennes. Arnaud Robinet, maire de Reims donnera le top départ aux voitures d’époque qui vrombiront depuis le parvis de la Cathédrale pour rejoindre la principauté.
Quelques jours seulement après l’arrivée du 87e Rallye Automobile Monte-Carlo, les concurrents autorisés à prendre le départ de ce 22e Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique devront faire face à un parcours tout aussi sélectif. Comme à son habitude, la déclinaison Historique est réservée aux voitures ayant participé aux Rallyes Automobiles Monte-Carlo entre 1955 et 1980. Dans le but de donner à tous les concurrents la possibilité de figurer honorablement au classement, il y aura encore, en 2019, trois moyennes à respecter et à conserver tout au long de l’épreuve.
Le départ de Reims se fera depuis le parvis de la Cathédrale.
