Citymapper, the multimodal mobility app, launches a subscription-based pass for London. The pass will be cheaper than contactless or Transport for London’s (TfL) Oyster card and it comes in either a physical card or can be linked to Google Pay and Apple Pay. As a subscription-based service users need to pay four weeks upfront.
The pass can be used now on all public transport in London, and bicycles and the company’s own taxi service. But further functionality and capability would be built - Citymapper is looking to add more partners to include other cycle share schemes, scooters and taxis. Another planned improvement would be the personalization of the offers to specific users based on their needs, preferences and commutes.
