The March Fair is part of the tradition of the city of Aveiro and is considered the biggest economic show of the Center Region. Organized by Aveiro City Hall and Aveiro-Expo, it will take place between March 23 and April 25 at the Aveiro Fair and Exhibition Center.
This month-long show marks the end of winter and celebrates the arrival of spring in the city, and sees a wide variety of activities and attractions. There are large exhibition areas showcasing cars, homeware, decorations, and arts and crafts. Besides the commercial sector, there is also an entertainment one. Visitors can enjoy one of the biggest amusement parks in the country, try some of the typical regional dishes or attend a concert.
The doors open at 10:30am today, while the official opening is scheduled for 6:00pm in the front plaza of the Aveiro Exhibition Park, with a skydiving show opening the festivities. Admission is free except on Fridays, Saturdays and Easter Monday.
