Carnival of Venice awaits for you up to 5th March
The Carnival in Venice is a one-of-a-kind celebration suspended between past and present with a traditional local allure featuring many events-within-the-events. Among these, the starting two-day Festa Veneziana with its typical masked regattas, the Best Masked Costume Contest, the Festa delle Marie and countless iconic parades. Each year, the Carnival includes celebrations whose history dates back to the times of the Serenissima, such as the famous eagle flight or the well-known Flight of the Angel, to name but a few. Carnival in Venice is the purest example of the perfect meld of tradition, culture and entertainment all in one, offering a chance of fun for visitors of all ages.
Venice, with its distinctive layout that develops on both sides of the Grand Canal, it is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Lying in the middle of a lagoon and composed of a dense fabric of narrow alleys and squares, bridges and canals, Venice is a city to be explored on foot and by waterbus to appreciate the views and architectures of rare beauty. Not only are St. Mark’s Square or the Rialto Bridge key destinations for a tourist to visit, but there is also a large historic centre, among the largest in Europe, to be discovered piece by piece.
