Hotels, restaurants, and other businesses will offer attractive prices under the “Month of Croatian Tourism” project
On 1 October, the Croatian Tourist Board and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports are launching the “Month of Croatian Tourism”. This is a new project that will decrease the prices of tourism-related products, services, and experiences during the entire month of October.
In other words, tourists and citizens will have the opportunity to travel around the Mediterranean country, enjoying discounts of at least 35%. According to a press release by the ministry, the main goal of this new project is to further extend the tourist season by attracting more visitors.
It is important to report that Croatia has recorded an extremely successful tourist season this summer. What is more, it continues to welcome international and domestic travelers even after the peak months. Kristjan Staničić from the Croatian Tourist Board commented on the season’s success, noting that there are still around 200,000 tourists in the country at the moment.
The post-season, according to Staničić, is the perfect time to take short trips and discover new destinations. For this reason, the board has collaborated with the ministry to organise and launch the “Month of Croatian Tourism” during the fall.
For 31 days in October, travel lovers can enjoy a variety of services and products at attractive prices. In particular, accommodation, transportation, restaurants, tourist attractions, as well as cultural, historical, and natural sights will be significantly cheaper.
All the different businesses participating in the project and offering discounted prices can be viewed on the mjesechrvatskogturizma.hr website. Furthermore, the co-organisers are inviting all companies in the tourism and hospitality industries to join the campaign and ensure the success of the project.
Minister of Tourism and Sports Nikolina Brnjac commented on the aim behind the Month of Croatian Tourism, noting: “We believe this will be an additional motivation for them [tourists] to travel and discover destinations they have not yet visited. In the current part of the post-season, we are recording excellent results that confirm that Croatia has all the predispositions to become a year-round tourist destination, which is our strategic goal.”
