Une fondation luxembourgeoise a organisé une distribution en ligne et télévisée de concerts pour les personnes âgées et vulnérables. Leur objectif est de lutter contre la solitude, qui devient particulièrement aiguë chez les personnes âgées en période de confinement et d'isolement social dus aux coronavirus.
Habituellement, la Fondation EME organise des concerts qui se jouent dans des maisons de soins du Grand-Duché. Outre leur valeur culturelle, ces événements sont une source de divertissement pour les personnes âgées, les aidant à garder leur sens du lien social.
Cependant, en raison de la pandémie de Covid-19, il a fallu annuler ces événements, afin de protéger les personnes âgées, les plus menacées par la maladie. Réticent à priver les gens de la joie de la musique, EME a décidé de proposer une alternative - les concerts numériques et télévisés.
Afin de rendre cela possible, la Fondation a fait appel à des artistes locaux. Les musiciens ont été invités à s’enregistrer en jouant à la maison et à fournir les vidéos qui seront diffusées dans les maisons de soins. Heureusement, plusieurs artistes ont répondu jusqu'à présent.
Grâce à ces efforts conjoints, quelques concerts ont été mis à disposition pour être distribués via la chaîne Apart TV. Leur distribution a déjà commencé avec un programme régulier, qui est mis à jour en continu. Actuellement, des concerts sont annoncés jusqu'au 13 avril.

Neuf d'entre eux peuvent également être regardés sur le site Web de l'EME. Il s'agit notamment de Crazy Quarantine Sessions, de performances du Luxembourg Military Band et bien plus encore.
La fondation s'efforce depuis 10 ans d'intégrer les personnes vulnérables à travers la musique. Ils organisent environ 600 événements par an pour les enfants handicapés, personnes âgées, réfugiés, détenus, adolescents autistes, parents isolés les motivant à s'exprimer et à prendre en mains leur propre destin.
