Through "iBeach" you can book a place on the beach for free on Saturdays and Sundays
"IBeach", the application adopted by the municipal administration of Ancona that allows citizens to book their place at the beaches of Portonovo and Mezzavalle at no cost for summer 2020. The app can be used only for making reservations on Saturdays and Sundays.
Social distancing is a must on the two beaches. Even just for a walk, you need a reservation through the "iBeach" app.
The new app is available for both iOS and Android. Once downloaded, the system will ask for registration with the request to fill in the fields: region, city, chosen date, etc. Then, through the menu, it will be possible to choose among all the free beaches available in Ancona.
Each beach is represented by a description with photos and the precise booking rules. It is not possible to book multiple dates at once.
The beach will appear divided into areas and in the chosen area you can book the "beach towel" mode - a space of 3 meters by 80 centimetres reserved for two people, or the stall of 4 x 4 meters, for 4 people. The local administration has equipped the areas dedicated to umbrellas with wooden stalls in Mezzavalle and concrete in Portonovo.
At the end of the procedure, the customer will receive a QR code and confirmation of the booking via e-mail. The QR code must then be shown to the employees before entering the beach in order to check in.
Each person can book:
To ensure rotation and give the opportunity to the largest number of users to access the coasts, you can book an umbrella or place for a towel on the same beach from time to time and no later than 15 days. You will be able to book again on the same beach after a period of 3 days, and after 1 day for a different beach.
For those who do not have smartphones, it will be possible to make reservations through telephone numbers. The numbers 071- 222.2931-2833-2457 - 2378 are active from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm from Monday to Friday.
