Joy Mogensen

Joy Mogensen has been the mayor of Roskilde since May 2011. She has started her career in the Municipality of Roskilde in November 2005 when she was elected 2nd Deputy mayor of the Roskilde city council. In the election term 2006-2009, she was the chairman of the Social Democratic group with a seat in the Economic committee and the Committee for social affairs. At the 2009 elections Mrs. Mogensen was re-elected and she continues being the chairman of the Committee for social affairs and the chairman for the Social Democratic group with a seat in the Economic committee.

As a mayor of Roskilde, she is dedicated to securing a home for everyone, regardless of age and income. Another focus in her programme is to make Roskilde one of the top 3 tourist destinations in Denmark within the next 10 years, with the city offering a wide selection of experiences and events.
