Mayors

Tomas Breddam became the Mayor of Roskilde Municipality on 8 August 2019 and he is a member of the Social Democratic Party.

Prior to this, he was a City Councillor and the chairman of the Planning and Engineering Committee in the municipality. Before becoming a politician, Breddam studied at the University of Roskilde and worked as an HR consultant and partner at several different companies.

Joy Mogensen has been the mayor of Roskilde since May 2011. She has started her career in the Municipality of Roskilde in November 2005 when she was elected 2nd Deputy mayor of the Roskilde city council. In the election term 2006-2009, she was the chairman of the Social Democratic group with a seat in the Economic committee and the Committee for social affairs.
