Mayor of Petroupoli is Stephanos Gabriel Vlachos. He was born in Lefkada and has been living in Petroupoli since 1965. He completed his six-year high school in Ilion (Nea Liosia) and then entered the University, pursuing a medical degree. He was actively involved with the college student movement of the time and was president of the college student association. After his military service, he specialized in Cardiology.
Until 1st September 2019 Mayor of Petroupoli was Vangelis Simos. He was born on 15 March 1986. In 2008 he graduated from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. From 2011 to 2013 Mr Simos is in charge of the department of culture and athletics in Municipality Petroupoli. Since September 2014 Vangelis Simos is Mayor of Petroupoli.
