Ioan Turc
The Mayor of Bistrita is Ioan Turc. He was born on 28 June 1969.
He was a member of the Romanian Parliament in 2007-2008 for the PNL party. Ioan Turc was sworn in as an MP on 19 December 2007 in the place of Augustin Zegrean, who had been elected as a judge in the Constitutional Court.
Before that, between 2004 and 2007, Ioan Turc served as the deputy mayor of Bistrița. For 10 years he was the Director of the Trade Register Office attached to the Bistrița Năsăud Tribunal. Following the 27 September 2020 local elections, Ioan Turc was elected mayor of Bistrita for the 2020-2024 term.
