Miran Senčar

The mayor of Ptuj is Mr. Miran Senčar. He was born in 1963 in Kidričevo. He studied at the Ptuj High School and then moved to Lubjiana to continue his studies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. Mr. Senčar was then employed as a professor at the School Center Ptuj. Before becoming the mayor of the Municipality of Ptuj, he was managing his own company in the city. As a mayor of Ptuj, Mr. Senčar offers his way to a friendlier, more beautiful and successful Ptuj - a linker for the development of the whole region. His program focuses on the preservation of the cultural heritage, improvement of the quality and the size of the green spaces in the city and innovative approaches for sustainable waste sorting. Future plans include also encouraging entrepreneurship and attracting investors, enforcing the concept of sustainable mobility and increasing supply from renewable energy sources.
