Come to see where the Christmas trees grow

Luxembourg invites you to an open day in the city’s forest

The Natural Heritage Department and the Nature Conservation Agency of Luxembourg are hosting their second open day! Come discover the different activities involved in managing and maintaining the city’s forests: pruning and cutting down trees, moving timber using workhorses, cutting up felled trees, caring for animals (donkeys, sheep and bees) and making things out of the wood taken from the forest (street furniture).

A range of workshops and demonstrations will be held throughout the day for people of all ages.

It’s also the perfect occasion for a walk through the Bambësch (1.8 km) to enjoy the forest in its full autumn glory. Food and drink stalls will be set up on-site by the Rollingergrund municipal band.

A special shuttle from Beggen, Dommeldange and from Eich to  Muhlenbach (Siwemuergen) departs every 15 minutes. Line 21 from the city centre and the central station leaves every 20 minutes.

Visit the event on 24th of November at the ”Schaffdag am Stater Bësch!” (free entry) and don’t ever get lost in the woods again!
