The Institute for Tourism, Sport and Culture of Kamnik has announced that it is organizing professional courses for those who want to become certified tour guides in the city and its surroundings. The course is scheduled to take place between 8 and 18 October, with a practical study tour set for 9 November followed by an exam on 16 November. The lectures will be divided into practical and theoretical parts with the exact scheduling to be announced at a later date. If completed successfully, the course will grant participants the opportunity to become officially licensed tour guides for the city of Kamnik.
The participation fee for the course is 120 euros, which covers not only the lectures but also the planned visits and associated travel costs, the certificates etc. But due to the sharply rising demand for guided tours of Kamnik in different languages, the cost is reduced for people who are fluent in languages other than English. The 30% discount for polyglots sets the price at 84 euros.
The deadline for applying for the course expires on 3 October and it can be done entirely online. You can visit the link for more information.
