How would you describe Castelnovo Bariano briefly?
Castelnovo Bariano is a small town of about 3000 inhabitants located on the left bank of the river Po, in the Province of Rovigo.
What activities Castelnovo Bariano offers to its citizens?
In general, agricultural activities with many fields of land to be cultivated with corn, soy, watermelons and melons.
Tell some good practices of your municipality. How do you fund them?
We pay the first loan installment of the young couples who come to live in our municipality, who buy or renovate a house. We finance them with our own funds from our municipality budget.
Do you think that there is a problem with access to and acquisition of information among European citizens when they try to update their information on the implementation of European policies?
I believe that Digital Development is giving a great acceleration to the possibility of accessing all information among European citizens.
What do you think about TheMayor.eu - the unified platform for European municipalities and its main objective to make European citizens better informed about what is happening in the European Union? How can the portal be useful to a small town like Castelnovo Bariano?
It's a great idea and I think it will have excellent results.
Which are the main objectives and good examples you are planning to develop?
Special attention to school infrastructures that represent the place where the new generations will study and grow.
