Five metro stations to be opened all night for the homeless people in Lisbon

The pavilion of the Municipal Sports Complex of Casal Vistoso will ensure hot meals and warm clothes

Due to very low temperatures, the contingency plan by Lisbon's city council to protect homeless people from the cold has been activated this Wednesday. This means that the metro stations Oriente, Saldanha, Intendente, Rossio and Santa Apolónia will be open all night to shelter those who usually sleep on the streets of the city.

Lisbon city council has also opened a pavilion of the Municipal Sports Complex of Casal Vistoso so the homeless can access hot meals, sleep in proper temperature and also get warm clothes. A team on the ground are going around the city to redirect to all those who accept the support.
