In giugno partirà il progetto Elviten (Electrified L-category Vehicles Integrated into Transport and Electricity), finanziato dall’Unione Europea. L'attività principale dell'iniziativa rappresenta la sperimentazione del bike sharing elettrico nella capitale Italiana. Una sperimentazione innovativa che interessa diverse città pilota, presentata tra l’altro al Forum Smart Cities in occasione dell’edizione 2019 della Formula E. Obiettivo, promuovere un sistema di mobilità cittadina nuovo e integrato, che possa contribuire ad abbattere inquinamento e traffico e ad aumentare la sicurezza.
Il piano prevede l’installazione di 78 postazioni di ricarica e parcheggio, chiamate e-hubs, in 8 aree del Municipio nelle quali saranno collocate le 78 biciclette elettriche a disposizione dei cittadini. Le prime installazioni partiranno a maggio, il servizio di bike sharing sarà operativo entro giugno e avrà la durata di 12-14 mesi. La prenotazione e l’utilizzo dei veicoli avverrà attraverso una app. Il servizio sarà gratuito e per l’uso delle biciclette, omologate e immatricolate, saranno necessari casco e patentino.
