The first night of the 2022 Festival of Lights took place on 16 March

On 16 March, Zagreb’s buildings lit up in various colours as part of the city’s fourth Festival of Lights. After a two-year hiatus due to the outbreak of COVID, the 2022 event was inaugurated by the Mayor of the Croatian capital, Tomislav Tomašević.

“This event is becoming one of the brands of the city of Zagreb, which will continue to develop in the coming years. […] It is very important that in these dark days of war, pandemics and inflation, we have a little light to bring joy into our lives,” Mayor Tomašević shared.

The light displays will decorate Zagreb’s buildings every evening from 6 pm to 11 pm until Sunday, 20 March.
