Arte, ciencia y tecnología se darán cita en el Almacén 16 del centro de creación contemporánea Matadero de Madrid. Se llamará MAD (Madrid Artes Digitales) y promete ser un espacio donde vivir experiencias únicas y multidisciplinares que harán que el visitante viaje en el tiempo y el espacio.
MAD abrirá sus puertas el 4 de marzo de 2022 con una producción inmersiva de gran formato basada en la obra de Gustav Klimt. Una experiencia única que permitirá a los espectadores de todas las edades sumergirse en el vibrante entorno de la Viena del cambio de siglo para experimentar de primera mano la evolución de la obra de Klimt y su mundo.
Para la creación de este espacio fue necesario aunar los esfuerzos de tres productoras, Layers of Reality y SOM Produce (de España), y Stardust (Holanda). Con una inversión inicial de 3 millones de euros solo para la adecuación del almacén, desarrollarán durante los próximos diez años contenidos específicos que inicialmente solo se podrán ver en MAD.
Como tal, el centro sensorial inmersivo será único tanto en España como en Europa. En sus 2.000 metros cuadrados mostrará diferentes contenidos y experiencias con tecnología que se adaptarán para cada una de las distintas exposiciones, de modo que cada visita se convierta en un evento único.
MAD también se convertirá en un centro de I + D + i para la experimentación con nuevas fórmulas inmersivas que pasan por proyecciones audiovisuales a gran escala junto con la realidad aumentada o la realidad virtual y la holografía. Para ello, contará con un equipo de profesionales que desarrollarán nuevas fórmulas para dotar de personalidad a cada una de las exposiciones.
Por ejemplo, el acto inaugural basado en la obra de Klimt contará con proyecciones de gran formato, con más de 900 m2 de espacio de proyección inmersiva, experiencias 3D con gafas de realidad virtual, espacios expositivos y herramientas interactivas para conformar una propuesta cultural ambiciosa y espectacular para todos. audiencias. El objetivo aquí será permitir que el espectador sienta dentro de las pinturas y los edificios que Klimt decoró.
