A partir del 13 de agosto, Arganda del Rey, municipio de la periferia sur de Madrid, se ha incorporado al servicio de "Parada a demanda". Este servicio ya está disponible en autobuses nocturnos en otras localidades de la Comunidad de Madrid desde el año pasado.
Los beneficiarios de este servicio son mujeres y menores, quienes ahora tienen la opción de solicitar al conductor del autobús que haga una parada no programada en la ruta. La idea es aumentar la seguridad de estos grupos más vulnerables durante la noche.
Sin embargo, se aplican algunas reglas para este servicio. Cuando un pasajero solicita una parada, esto siempre debe suceder en la parada programada anterior, informándole al conductor personalmente. Esto es importante para que el conductor pueda elegir el punto más adecuado para realizar dicha parada, ya que no se pueden realizar paradas en lugares que potencialmente generen situaciones de riesgo para el tráfico.
Por ejemplo, lugares donde la visibilidad está impedida o espacios donde esto estaría prohibido por reglamento. La persona que ha solicitado la parada adicional debe pararse en la parte delantera del autobús y luego bajarse del autobús por la puerta principal.
La red de transporte de la Comunidad de Madrid incluye 40 líneas nocturnas de autobuses interurbanos, que conectan 61 municipios. Se trata de una red que cubre todas las localidades de la región con más de 10.000 habitantes y que actualmente mueve una media de 5.800 viajeros al día.
“Las paradas bajo demanda contribuyen a mejorar la seguridad de mujeres y menores al reducir su viaje a casa desde un punto de transporte público. Como decimos en la campaña con la que queremos dar a conocer esta iniciativa, queremos que la próxima parada sea tu casa y puedas llegar con tranquilidad y seguridad,” ha manifestado el consejero de Transportes, Movilidad e Infraestructuras de la comarca, Ángel Garrido.
