Per il momento non c’è una data di lancio effettiva della nuova tratta. Per il futuro si è parlato anche di un collegamento ferroviario Roma-Londra, che potrà essere percorso in 11 ore.
In quest’ultimo caso, riguardo la capitale italiana e la capitale inglese i tempi sono sicuramente più dilatati se messi a paragone con un viaggio aereo, normalmente coperto in due ore di volo. Le cinque ore e mezza tra Londra e Milano, e viceversa, diventano sicuramente molto competitive. Si deve prendere in considerazione anche i tempi per raggiungere un aeroporto fuori città.
