Per tutelare la salute dei rider che ogni giorno sono impegnati nelle consegne dai ristoranti ai milanesi, il Comune di Milano distribuisce gratuitamente 5000 mascherine e guanti. Lo scopo dell'iniziativa è garantire la sicurezza dei ristoratori e delle persone che ordinano pasti pronti a domicilio.
L'iniziativa del Comune di Milano attraverso il Assessorato alle Politiche del lavoro e Attività produttive e Commercio è già iniziata da martedì 14 aprile. I 1000 kit sicurezza (5 mascherine e 5 paia di guanti) si possono prendere presso lo “Sportello lavoro" di Viale Gabriele d'Annunzio 15 dalle ore 9:30 alle ore 17.
Per evitare qualsiasi affollamento e fare una distribuzione ordinata, la distrubzione dei kit è organizzata in ordine alfabetico con quantità giornaliere definite in accordo con le aziende più grandi di food delivery operanti a Milano. La procedura si fa in ordine alfabetico dei rider, indipendentemente dall'azienda per cui lavorano.
Con questa iniziativa il Comune di Milano vuole tutelare la salute dei rider, ma anche la salute dei cittadini. I rider fanno parte dei quei lavoratori poco tutelati, i quali rischiano la loro salute ogni giorno, nonostante l’emergenza del coronavirus.
Nei kit, oltre ai presidi utili per la propria sicurezza personale e di quella altrui, i rider troveranno anche un utile volantino informativo. Il libretto è scritto in italiano, inglese, spagnolo e francese e contiene le principali indicazioni per affrontare l’emergenza Covid-19.
La distribuzione dei mascherine e guanti ai rider è la prima fase della più grande azione predisposta dall’Amministrazione locale per fornire di presidi personali di sicurezza altre categorie di lavoratori, come tassisti, commercianti ed impiegati di sportello. Tutti loro quotidianamente ininterrottamente svolgono la propria attività lavorativa nel periodo di emergenza.
