Stara Zagora with “smart traffic lights”

The innovation is part of a project including also reconstruction of overpass and rehabilitation of a repair hall of a trolley depot

Soon the Bulgarian city of Stara Zagora will have "smart traffic lights". They are involved in the implementation of the second phase of the project "Modernization and Development of Sustainable Urban Transport in Stara Zagora".

The Urban Transport Management System includes the introduction of video surveillance at the city's main intersections with intelligent traffic jam prevention systems and traffic light switching. The introduction of the automated charging system will facilitate the use of buses and trolleys and will improve the quality of passenger transport services.
