Un nouveau dispositif vient de renforcer l'arsenal des forces de sécurité cannoises. Les autorités municipales ont informé la semaine dernière de l'installation d'une caméra parlante sur la place du Commandant Maria. L'appareil vient en complément des deux caméras déjà placées à proximité et soutiendra le travail quotidien de la police municipale en diffusant des messages aux citoyens.
Le nouvel appareil est capable de transmettre des messages préenregistrés et d'assurer une communication en temps réel. Il peut tourner à 360 degrés, dispose d'un zoom de 30x et d'une technologie de reconnaissance faciale. Il est situé sur la partie nord de la place, à 6 mètres de hauteur, ce qui donne un aperçu sur la totalité de l'espace public.
Les haut-parleurs ont une portée de 40 mètres et sont conçus comme un outil de transmission de messages, à utiliser notamment en cas de risques majeurs. Selon le maire de Cannes David Lisnard, la technologie sera particulièrement utile dans la lutte contre les incivilités, car elle permet d'observer, d'alerter et de dissuader.
Le projet pilote est géré par le Centre de Protection Urbain et n'est que la première étape d'un plan de rénovation plus large qui vise à améliorer la qualité de vie des résidents en rendant l'espace public plus agréable et plus sécurisé pour les familles.
