Many events and presents will surprise the guests of the Bulgarian city
The 50th anniversary of the establishment of the "Old Plovdiv" will be celebrated throughout the month of April. The jubilee of the Bulgarian city will be mixed with the 100th anniversary of the birth of the writer Nikolay Haytov. This is the reason why the program is connected with the narrator of the Rhodopes and with names, whose life and work is dedicated to the Old Town of Plovdiv. These are its creator Atanas Krastev, the painter Costa Forev and the cartoonist Boris Dimovski.
An exhibition of the unforgettable painter Costa Forev from Asenovgrad will be opened in the Balabanov House, there you can enjoy his paintings. Among them are his pictorial variations on the topic "Wedding of my Uncle". Another very interesting exhibition - "Danube cartoons" - will be opened for visitors too. In the following days, the Old City of Plovdiv will also welcome the Bulgarian actress Stoyanka Mutafova, she will present her book "Good Evening, My Century". For the celebrations on the occasion of the half-century jubilee a school essay competition "The Old Town" will be organized.
Instead of receiving birthday presents as tradition, the Old Town of Plovdiv will give presents. Every visitor will receive a ticket, where they will fill their name and contact details as part of a lottery. On April 30, the names of the winners will be announced. The awards are: tickets for artistic events, dinner voucher for two, wine, gift sets, vouchers and many others.
